Cookie Policy

WHAT ARE COOKIES?

They are small text strings that a website can write during navigation on the user’s device (PC, notebook, smartphone, or tablet) and are usually stored directly on the Browser (e.g., Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.) used for browsing by the user. The same website that wrote them can subsequently read and record the cookies found on the device to obtain various kinds of information.

WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES CAN BE WRITTEN?

There are different types of cookies, each with distinct characteristics.

Cookies can be classified by:

Duration

– session cookies, deleted immediately when the browsing browser is closed (e.g., Internet Explorer, Safari, Google Chrome, etc.), also called session closure;

– Persistent cookies, unlike session cookies, remain within the device and active even after the Browser is closed and until a certain period has elapsed.

Origin

– first-party cookies, generated and managed directly by the website manager on which the user is browsing;

– third-party cookies are generated and managed by third parties other than the website manager on which the user is browsing (usually, by agreement between the website owner and the third party).

Usage

– technical cookies, which are necessary for the website’s correct functioning and to allow the best browsing experience; without them, the user could view the pages in an unoptimized way or be limited in using some services. For example, a technical cookie may be essential to keep the user connected to the website for the entire duration of the visit or to store language settings, display, etc.
